Research + Strategy
This work reflects a core part of my practice: using participatory methods to generate insight, build alignment, and inform spatial strategy.
Rather than treating engagement as a step in the process, I approach it as a means of understanding systems—surfacing the behaviors, needs, and tensions that ultimately shape how spaces are used and experienced.
Process
Approach – My approach centers on structured participation—not just to gather input, but to reveal patterns, challenge assumptions, and create shared ownership in decision-making.
Framing + Listening – Identifying key stakeholders and engaging them through interviews, workshops, and mapping exercises to understand needs, constraints, and underlying dynamics.
Co-Creation as Insight Generation – Designing interactive sessions that allow participants to actively shape ideas—using tools like visioning, spatial mapping, and real-time feedback to surface meaningful input.
Translating Insight into Strategy Synthesizing – qualitative input into clear design criteria, spatial strategies, and programmatic direction—ensuring that insights directly inform decision-making.
